What is Software Restaurant ?

Restaurant software is often referred to as Point of Sales (POS) Restaurant. Point Of Sales, is simply, can be defined as software that records the sales transaction. Before the POS system was developed, many people who use cash registers, or even manually, in running its retail business.

But the functions of the cash register itself is no longer sufficient. So it is developing POS. Along the development era, POS also began to be used in the restaurant business, so came the term “Restaurant Point Of Sales”. In several countries, the software is also often called (maybe sound more simple) software restaurant.

So, in essence, restaurant software is software that help you record the sales transactions automatically from the menus that you sell in your restaurant. Besides these main functions, this software also has functions that can make restaurant operations to be faster, more organized, and reduce human-errors. An example is a printed menu automatically in the kitchen or at the bar , cutting stock automatically, promo settings automatically, split the bill, joint table, and other functions.

As for hardware, which is often used is the hardware integrated with touch screen monitors. This means that the integrated hardware is the hardware that made such a compact (small) but complete with monitor, CPU, cash drawer, customer display, and Magnetic Card Reader. Many restaurants that choose to use integrated hardware because the hardware is more efficient place and looks more professional.

However, of course, restaurant software can also be installed on a normal computer with normal LCD monitor. The difference is, when used may be somewhat more difficult, because the cashier or waitress must use the keyboard and mouse to operate it.
