This can occur due to ignorance among the manager of both restaurants and consumers themselves. Therefore it becomes important for consumers to know the regulations, types of questionable foods halal status and how best to choose a kosher restaurant as will be explained below. How to choose?
In choosing which restaurant that serves food that guaranteed halal status in Indonesia is somewhat troublesome given the kind of restaurant that there are many and varied ranging from dry stall, stall tents, small restaurants, large restaurants, fast food restaurants, etc.. However, there are a few suggestions that can be used as a handle that is:
Choose restaurants that have obtained halal certification. Restaurant which has received kosher certification is no doubt halal food and beverages it presents.
If we do not carry a list of the kosher restaurant at the time of entry into the restaurant that we hesitate on halal food and beverages are served then ask halal certificates owned by the restaurant is disrespectful. Do not be fooled by the label or mark on the restaurant kosher relevant because, as noted previously, is not always true what is stated by the restaurant tsb. If we are skeptical about the halal food and beverages served by restaurants that do not have the halal certificate then should we avoid restaurants tsb.
Avoid restaurants serving cuisine that is generally questionable kehalalannya as previously described, unless the restaurant has been getting halal certification from the authorities.
Nothing wrong with asking a polite and good to make sure that we go to a restaurant that serves dishes that do not doubt its halal status. For example, we can ask whether in making dishes in this restaurant use ang ciu, if the answer is yes then we say thank you, sorry I could not be eating at this place, there are other purposes, then we left the restaurant tsb.
Avoid restaurants serving cuisine that is clearly evident, such as pork products and illicit liquor. Do not also eat at a restaurant serving halal cuisine mixed with unclean food such as pork or alcohol products. There is no assurance that the cuisine is presented does not mix in the making with a cuisine that is haram. In the case of liquor, we are commanded to avoid places where liquor is served.
