Choosing a Restaurant for Allergy Sufferers

You can still enjoy eating out despite suffering from allergies. Be active when ordering food to reduce the risk of allergic reaction to food from your body.

1. Avoid restaurant buffet
Food is served buffet close to each other. Often tablespoons vegetable food used to each other. As a result, allergens move easily from one dish to another dish.

2. Avoid restaurants according to type of allergy
Depending on the type of allergy, you decide its own restaurant which should be avoided. If allergic to shellfish, avoid seafood restaurants because of the risk of contamination is highest in that type of restaurant. If allergic to peanuts, avoid Chinese restaurants.

3. Ask for advice
Ask for recommendations from the waiter restaurant , any food that contains no allergens in your body. If the waiter was not sure, ask to speak with the manager or cook. If possible, tell the restaurant about the allergy you suffer long before it arrived at the restaurant.

4. Many questions and talk
Do not hesitate to ask how food is cooked. Also ask also the ingredients used for cooking. There are many restaurants that have not realized the seriousness of food allergies. Informing this to the restaurant, so you can be sure your food is free from allergens substances.
